Default TB spring not hitting bump stop

When I had my brother floor the gas pedal I could see that there was about a 1/4-1/8" left till the bump stop. Any way to adjust this? The new TB has the bump stop grinded down but what good is it if I can't get to that point, LOL. Thanks

Follow the throttle and cables up from the cruise control/TCS box and there will be 2 plastic adjustment "fittings" on them. Should be right above the passenger valve cover.

It's a slide-lock release; loosen it, snug the cable
and snap it back tight.

If that doesn't give you full travel then search this
forum for "throttle cable slack".

OK i figured out the adjustment and was able to get it to hit the bump stop with only adjusting the throttle cable one, not the other. Now it dosent touch the idle stop screw, obviously , but is it OK to raise the idle screw? Also, do I need to adjust the other (I think its the cruise control ) cable. Gonna put it back to normal until I get a response. Maybe take a run to Sears and pick up a voltmeter to test the voltage and make sure. Thanks in advance

you tightend it up too much. you can do it just enough to where it will still close all the way but will hit the bump stop. just mess with them both until then.

Actually tested it with a voltmeter and found that if I do go all the way to the bump stop the voltmater reads 4.75V, so I have to adjust it so its off the stop a bit. I guess it was grinded too much. After about ten adjustments I got the idle to be 0.58V and the WOT to be 4.68V and stable. I did about 10 full pedal push trials and nothing was going above 4.68V. Because I figured there would be some cable flex and stuff I hooked up everything so I can monitor my voltage while in the car, and by the time I had everything put back together, wouldn't you know it, the WOT voltage move to 4.72 and idle to 0.60. Oh well, I guess I will have to adjust it again tomorrow.

Does anyone know what idle voltage will trigger a SES light, if any?

Thanks again.

4.68-4.7 is where you want it. I think it's 4.72-4.74+ where you'll throw a code. If you don't throw a code at 4.72 then leave it.
