Default SES light after header install

I installed my 1 3/4" Kooks headers with catted y over the weekend. After driving it for 10 or 15 mins, the SES light came on. I disconnected the battery and reset the light, but after another 20 min drive it came on again. I kept AIR intact and replaced all gaskets. Anyone have any ideas? I'm pissed because I wanted to be emisions legal, but had I known I was going to throw a code, I would have just bought ORY and O2 sims. I'm going to get the code scanned by Autozone. Should I just get the code deleted by someone with LS1edit? Thanks for any help.

You need to find out what the code is before going any farther.

yeah go to murrays and borrow theirs, you can do it right in the parking lot. probably damaged an o2 sensor or forgot to plug something in.

Thanks for the replies guys. I'm going to try to get to Autozone tonight if the rain holds off. I'll post back when I get the code.

OK, the code was P0140. The guy told me the scanner said bank 1 sensor and bank 2 sensor had no activity. What does this mean? Are the O2 sensors bad? He reset the code and it didn't come back on the ride home (10 miles). Thanks.

remove the o2 sensors and check for damage. when we installed pacesetters in my buddies car they didnt drill the holes big enough for the o2 sensors and when we screwed them in it crushed them and set the code.

double check to make sure they are pluged in and also if any wire's are fried, I had some wires touching my hookers that I didnt notice at first and they got melted down to bare wire and were extra crispy
