Any custom intakes making significant power over the LS6?
Other than the GMPP(WAR), LSX, and Weiand, are there any other intakes out there making more than 10 rwhp over the LS6 on 346CI (or any CI for that matter)? Excluding C5 pieces... Whatever happened to the Spyder?
Thanks

Wow, that's surprising. I believe the Weiand intake is a direct casting of the LS6 intake, not sure how it could dyno 14rwhp less.
I think those numbers are hosed, by their numbers the LS6 intake only makes 6rwhp more than the LS1. Folks are posting much bigger gains than 1hp going from LS6 to LSX, especially on H/C or bore/stroke setups.
Average gains in this LSX dyno thread was 11-20+ hp :

Maybe these numbers are the way it happened on their dyno, but maybe they had a vacuum leak with the Weiand or something... ...or the tune was way off... I haven't gotten back to dyno since my Weiand intake install but it sure woke up my heads/cam car over the LS1 intake.
-14hp ?

they used a stock ls1 so with heads and cam and bigger throttle body the outcome is going to be differnt for the lsx, but i dont think the weiand did good because of the heat soak of the metal intake over the composite ones
