Default Speed Engineering "Race" Headers Installed

Installed my Speed Engineering Race Version Headers last week, I am very happy with the fitment, seems to have plenty of room around the tube and good spark plug access. I also Bought the ORY but have yet to install it because i decided to have trans built and install PT4000. Will post pics of Y fitment when i get transmission back. Hopefully this week.

Very nice. I'll be helping a buddy install a set of these in the coming months.

The y-pipe looks just like Texas speed's y-pipe.

Depends what your trying to do I guess.. on a street car really don't think you'll notice that 1/8 deference, may see it little on a time slip. Perfect for stock cubic inches.. now for bigger motors or even big cam/ heads yeah definitely 1 7/8, and down the road i may decide to go with so 7/8s if i build a bigger motor.. My goal now is a good 11 sec. bracket street car on a budget..

I would bet it will work with kooks true duals.. I heard TPS true dual would.. I have another car here at the shop that is apart, and that has Kooks 1 7/8s LTs and I laid them next to each other just to compare (should have took pic) and the over all dimensions are pretty darn close, even tubes route the same. So I don't see why it wouldn't work even if you had to do some slight modding.. maybe guys at speed inc would know for sure..

A little harder to eyeball the underside views without the trans in there, but does the drivers side rear exit point outwards, rather than straight back?

It kicks outward slightly, like most LTs for LS1 Fbodys. havent really seen any that were parallel.. Y looks like this Pacesetter i Attached. driver side has more angle..

Glad to hear everything seems to fit well.

Not sure if you guys were talking about us, or Speed Inc. Speed Inc is a separate company. I don't believe they sell their own headers. If you are referencing us, then yes we have had a few customers use our headers with TSP's catted Y-Pipe & True dual system. I haven't heard of anyone test fitting the Kooks True Dual however.

Thanks
Sean
