Default Gains from TSP Stage 1 LS6 heads?

So heres the deal. My setup made 404/382 with stock unported 241 heads. It's got a g5x3 cam. The thing is that I DO NOT want to flycut my pistons. I've been told that with the Stage 1 LS6 heads PTV clearance will be fine.

What kind of power gains could I expect to see realistically?

30-40 rwhp .what intake do you have ? you would need bigger injectors and a better fuel pump.

You should see around 40rwhp over stock 241s and we can mill the heads just enough to true them up, yet clear that cam. Give us a buzz and we will get you fixed up!

Stage 2.5 have less PtV clearance and therefore would probably need to flycut. I think they add about 5-7rwhp over the Stage 1s.

I don't doubt the Stage 1s make about 40rwhp over the 241s. I'd also buy a FAST 92 to pair with the heads as that will add another 12-15rwhp. That'd put you into the solid 450rwhp range.

I have an ls6 intake, and I'm still on stock injectors. Injectors would definitely be upgraded at the time of the heads.

You'd be able to mill the heads and still have ptv clearance? That's surprising to me. But it sounds great. I'll be giving y'all a call in a couple of weeks.

I already have comp 921 valve springs, but I'd prob just get new .650 lift double valve springs to freshen things up.

That's pretty much what I thought about the 2.5s.

And I'll probably end up getting a ported fast 92 and a 92mm throttle body. I've already had my car tuned once, and I want next time to be the last time. haha

So my plan now is..

TSP Stage 1 LS6 heads
FAST 92mm Intake (maybe ported)
Injectors (what size?)
25% underdrive pulley
Swap out my 1 3/4 headers to 1 7/8
And of course a retune

What kinda power can I expect? Is there any other mods I'm missing?

If you hit 404 rwhp with your cam only setup, I think you could definitely hit 450 rwhp on that same dyno with the heads plus the other mods mentioned

This is true, they do offer less PTV with the larger stainless valves, but with a light mill we could still clear that cam.

It would be very a light mill, like I said, just enough to true them up. We mill .007" off our 2.5 LS6 heads to clear our Magic Stick cams which are similar to the g5x3.

Those are really good numbers for cam only. With those heads you should jump to around 445rwhp / 400tq.

I just installed the PRC Stage 1 LS6 with titanium retainers and dbl springs with a 224/230 cam. I went back and forth on either the stg 1 vs 2.5. For my set up, the additional cost for the 2.5 vs hp/tq was minimal. I think you'll be very happy with the Stg. 1. I love the PRC heads.

I like the 42# Bosch. Just curious, why the Underdrive pulley?

Because it will free up a few extra horsepower, and it will rev quicker.

IMHO, I would leave out the UD pulley and put it towards a FAST 102 ported with your set up. You'll see more of a gain with the intake... I don't like UD pulleys. Cost to HP is not worth it. Plus it may under power your lights and electronics. I know I like having my A/C work 100% when it's 100+ here.

I'm not really interested in the 102. My buddy actually just got one on his heads/cam trans am, and its a nice looking intake. But I've read that a ported 92 makes similar power to a stock 102 and I won't have to get a new fuel rail, and grind down my waterpump. The 92 is more of what I'm interested in.
