Default 160 tstat a good decision??

Just did a h/c package thru rapidmotorsports but the car feels a little sluggish on warm days!

mike said i should try a 160 tstat, but from my limited knowledge, i remember being told the ls1 is better to run at stock temps.

is this true or should i try and run the 160...i am only concerned with the engines durability!

thanks
dave

Put the 160 thermostat in but make sure to tune the engine to work with it, or it will not do anything.

Had my 160 for quite some time, no problems. Go for it.

Do some research on this. Just use the "search" feature. You'll come up with a ton of info, and I recommend against the t-stat.

180 is the nominal rating of the stocker.

Do you have a cold air induction setup? PCM
pulls timing above 98F IAT (mid-MAP) to 104F
(higher MAP). This is the more likely culprit
in warm-day-sluggishness.
