ok, i just took off what i believe to be the pump. it is what the main hose connected to. its the cylindrical object next to it that i am not sure of. do i take this object off? there is also a little box next to it, with a wire and a tube comming out,the tube connected to the pump, the wire goes up into the car. i am not sure what to do. i have included a picture, bear with me as i do not have a digi cam. any help is appreciated, thanks.

I took the box off and pluged the vacuum line with a bolt.

When I did the H/C swap, I blocked off the vacuum line on the back of the take.
