Default Distance from motor to Catch Can?

Just wanted to get some input on the effects of the distance between the motor and catch can. Mine is pulling through LS6 valley cover and the can is mounted on the driver side core support right beside the radiator. The hose runs along the radiator back the pcv. There is plenty of vacuum at the end, but wanted to get some input on the placement. Does it make a difference?

I dont think it does make a difference. You can probably put it in the back seat and it would still work. I think heighth will make a difference though. Too low and I think it will create a siphon and bring raw oil straight into the intake. Hasnt happened to me, i just heard stories.

Don't sweat it. I ran mine right next to the passenger headlight for a long time. Never a problem.

Mine is mounted on top of the drivers' side strut tower (where the LT1 guys usually mount their ignition boxes), and no issues here. I used about 10 feet of line to put it there (5' out and 5' back).

Frankly I see no reason why it would be an issue.

Hey John, we have mounted the kit in several locations with different lengths of hose without any problems. I've checked vacuum with and without can and found it to be less than 1" Hg loss with the kit installed through six feet of hose, so length of hose should not make a difference.

How is it going Todd! Product is awesome buddy! I got a few guys in my club coming your way. One should have ordered last night or this morning. We all appreciate it!

Thanks for the info and input. I didn't think it would be much loss with the extra hose, but wanted to check with you guys just to be sure.

John
