Default My light upgrade

I've got a 99 TA WS6 manual trans with modded ORY c/w high flow cats (emissions here) and aftermarket catback 50K on the car. I've also got a slp lid. I'd like to do a couple more minor mods to the car. After doing some reading here, I'm thinking Headers, Intake and TB upgrade.
My question is more on the intake side of things. If I don't ever plan on doing heads or cam, should I bother going with a FAST 92 or should i just do the LS6 upgrade with ported stock TB. If i do go with the FAST, what TB should I get. I've seen various opinions on this on the forums and am sort of up in the air on the TB
I'm going to go with the TSP stainless 1-7/8 headers. Other than these mods and maybe 4.10 gears and suspension down the road this is all I want to do to the car. With these mods what sort of gains should i expect to see? The car is only used as a weekend driver/fun car.

Thanks in advance

The Fast intake will get you around 15 hp more over the LS6 intake. Depending on the heads and cam setup you should see about a 60-90 hp increase. I run 4.10's on a M6 and personally love them n/a, but on the bottle they are a little to much lol.

I don't plan on changing from the stock heads or cam. Nor do I plan on doing bottle. I don't mind spending more money on the FAST, but only if it's worth it. Based on this should I expect to get to the 400HP range?

Sorry I misread the heads cam thing. Yeah most bolt on LS1's will make around 400 hp, but that's at the motor of course

Thx
But is it worth it to step up to the FAST? If so, what TB? FAST as well? Ported stock?

IMO the Fast isn't really worth the time and money if you are just doing basic bolt ons. It really doesn't start to shine until you do the heads and cam. Just port your stock throttle body and do a good ram air setup (SSRA or equivalent) and that would be good enough

Another question with regards to my plans. Would the ORY I currently have now work with the TSP headers, or would I have to get a different one. The one I have now bolts up to the stock manifolds. It's smaller than 3" isn't it? Also I've been considering possibly getting a cam as well, but keep heads stock. Was looking at the TSP 228R 112LSA, but I wasn't sure package would be the better one to go with. the beehive or the dual valve and then the spring tension and rods? I'm assuming i'd be ok with .600 or .650 with 7.4" rods?

You will have to get a ORY made for the headers specifically. The 228R is a great cam for a stock head car, but may not be so ideal if you do some decent heads down the road...just a thought.
