06 5.3 crank adapter problem with 4l60e I have an 06 5.3 I have put in my 72 Chevelle. I picked up a 4l60e with converter from a 02 Silverado shortbed with HD marked on top of trans. I tried to mate it up and found a problem. The converter hits the crank as there is no recess for the snout. It seems as though an adapter of some sort is pressed int the crank. How do I remove this or fix my problem?
