Default 9" bullet.

Have a open y pipe now and it's not that bad at idle and really not that bad cruising to me. Been thinking about trying one of these 3.5" bullets with a 9" casing.

Anyone ever ran one? I'm assuming it'll just change the tone more less than quiet it down that much.

Have a borla catback was gonna run a cutout but I like th dumped look a little better so give me some insight. Don't wanna get a bigger bullet preferably because of price if rather just get a cutout if I go that route.

Anyone think it'll tone it down a tiny bit?

Just ordered a 3.5" electric cutout and this muffler to put behind my speed eng headers and oryp. Plan is to cut the reduced down part of the ypipe off to where its 3.5" and have that ran into the 3.5" muffler to the 3.5" cutout and through the stock catback. Ill let ya know how it sounds when I get it installed next week.

I seriously doubt that muffler as thin and short as it is will do much of anything. I'd at least go with a larger Dynomax bullet muffler like the #24216.

Will do my best. BTW there is no fiberglass packing behind the inner screen layer. Hopefully it will get rid of any rasp that might have been heard through just a cutout alone. Well see tomorrow when I get it installed. It goes to the dyno Tuesday for a tune. The muffoer and the 3.5" electric cutout must be on before then.

Got the exhaust cutout installed today. Here are some pics. I used the 3.5" id end of the magnaflow muffler to butt up to the badlandz cutout. A 3.5" band clamp was used to secure them together and keep them removeable. The 3.5" id end was welded to the speed engineering yipe that was cut off where the ypipe starts to neck down from 3.5" A reducer from 3.5" to 3" was used on the other end to go back into the stock catback pipe. It sounds beastly at WOT and has very little rasp at 3/4 throttle. part throttle driving has no rasp tht I can tell. Overall Im pleased with the investment and sound. This mod will hopefully help show a good return on the dyno when its tuned tomorrow.
