LQ4/T56 S10 Questions
Hey guys,
I need some assistance on how to set up my exhaust for the truck I am building.
I have a 2007 LQ4 with PRC LS6 2.5 heads, TSP 233/239 cam 113LSA, FAST 102/102, 44lb injectors, on stock bottom end. It's going in a 84 S10 along with a T56 out of a 2000 Z28 and a ford 8.8 rear end.
Now that the details are out of the way, the issue I'm having is deciding whether the 1-5/8 Sanderson shorty headers will flow enough to not choke the engine too much. When it was in my Camaro I shifted it at 6800 with the auto that was in it. It had 1-7/8 headers running into a 3" y-pipe and 4" merge though. I found all of the stuff to run the shorty headers with a 2.5" y-pipe into a 3.5" merge, but I'm still not sure if it will flow enough for the 6.0 to breathe properly.
My only other question at this time is what is a normal hp range for a setup like mine with a T56?
Thanks,
Derek

Yeah get the Stainlessworks. Hands down. I just bought a set for my s10 that I haven't built yet and they look great. The welds are superb, and the flanges are good thick stainless. I've heard you have to grind a bit off the bellhousing and the numb on the block needs to be cut down but neither of these are an issue. Do it once do it right!!!!! Expecially when you're gonna run a custom exhaust
