porting 5.3 truck intake?

Default porting 5.3 truck intake?

I heard that the 5.3 truck intake falls on its face at high rpm's at about 5k? that true? if so will porting it increase that? it should in reality but idk if someone has tried it and knows differently, im turning this motor at 6800 in my 10.54:1 5.3 in my s10 and DO NOT want to use FAST INTAKE don't want to spend the money right now

Not sure about it falling flat on it's face... I'd personally contact peakspeed for that. They specialize in porting the truck intakes, and advertise some good gains to boot.

Yeah. They're "Radical Porting" they advertise is exactly that. It's pretty amazing the way they do it, what all is involved, and all at a pretty decent price.

How about a LS6 intake? You could get one for pretty cheap and sell the truck intake.
