Default Dual Exhaust

Hey guys I'm wondering where would be a great place to get a dual exhaust? I want the exhaust to exit the rear end. NOT DUMPED BEFORE THE REAR AXEL!
Also what would be a great set up headers/exhaust? I'm thinking pacesetters right now, but not for sure yet. I wouldn't want to spend more than $300 for headers and $500 for the exhaust. Thanks for helping.

Besides a custom exhaust, Kooks makes a true dual system but its about $1500 excluding headers.

Lmfaoo quoted for truth.

OP- unless you have friends that do custom exhaust, a well fitting true duals system that goes out the back will cost almost as much as kooks exhaust.

My dumped true duals were around 450 for two bullet mufflers, x pipe , and labor.

300 is acceptable for pacesetters. Installation would be more.

You won't find true duals for under $500 that go all the way out of the back. I was once quoted $600 for custom duals going all the way out the back but that didn't include the cost of the mufflers or the tips if I remember correctly.

If you want a real true dual system that goes out the back you better be ready to pay up. My advice is just save the money and do it. Otherwise we will see you three months later with a new thread titled: "My dumped true duals are too loud, how do I quiet them down". Don't be that guy.

Bassani makes a TD system that's mean to mate up to stock manifolds but is easily modified by an exhaust shop to connect to LTs. I am putting mine on now and there are numerous others here who run it. It's a 2.5" system, unlike the 3" Kooks, but it's like half the cost. I can't post the link because I got mine non-sponsor, but if you search around you should be able to find it.

I got quoted $500 for a custom dual exhaust for my car and that was including mufflers, but I didn't get it because it was going to be crushed bends. I looked around to find someone local that could do mandrel bends but I did not find anyone, so I ended up getting bassani's true dual exhaust. The bassani kit was easy to install at home and the car doesn't sound like a silverado anymore.

I got mine for $350 used from a wrecked car... cant beat that! I like the way it sounds and it does fit fairly well sometime I still have to tweak it if it falls out of adjustment because its such a tight fit.

NA they still only make them in 2.5" which is honestly plenty. Some places advertise it as 3" but in the desc it reads 2.5". A true 2.5 system flows between a 3.5 and 4" single system.

Wow, great deal! Where in the world did you find a wrecked car with that exhaust? I have a hard enough time finding Fbodys in good shape in the junkyard, let alone ones that have nice aftermarket parts to take off.

The best deal for headers that I know of right now is Speed Engineering. $230 for stainless 1-3/4".

Lol some guy had bought a z28 for the drivetrain and was selling the stuf off the car. The bassani was on it. I then sold my old catback for 150 so I have 200 in the bassani lol

I have a couple dents In the over axle pipe but it doesn't effect anything
