Default ATI UDP question

I have searched and seem to have found a few different ways. Some seem to fully assemble the unit before installation (AC pulley, hub, main pulley/damper), but the instructions seem to say install the hub on the crank (with AC pulley behind it) then assemble the front pulley/damper.

So which route did you take, and how did it work?

If you fully assemble the unit before installing it on the crank, can you still heat it in boiling water?

Install the A/C pulley and hub first then torque down the main pulley with the included bolts. The hub is easier to get on the crank. The bolts line up pretty easily either way.

Thanks. Did you heat the hub in boiling water before installing it, and/or do the aerosol trick to cool the crank?

I put my ATI hub in the oven @ 200 degrees. Worked great. You should have seen the look on my wife's face when I pulled it out of the oven! LOL

Installed it at room temp; it slid right on. My snout is keyed all the way.

I've installed it twice. Once with the oven trick and once without. It didn't matter. It goes on much easier than the stock balancer.

Sounds good, I won't waste my time with the heat trick unless I have trouble without it.

And just to verify that this is the correct install procedure:
- put anti-seize on crank snout
- put high temp silicone in the key hole of the hub (will not be keying)
- install hub/AC pulley with installer tool
- install ARP bolt to 230-250 ft lbs with RTV on both sides of the washer. Question: instructions say to use loctite, but the ARP bolt comes with its own "install lubricant," do I use both that and loctite or what?
- line up dimples and install main pulley starting with two torx bolts to get it seated, final torque of 16 ft lbs, 6 bolts. (it looks like these already have blue loctite on them, so I shouldn't have to worry about that)
- use the 3 5/16" bolts to install the rear AC pulley with loctite to 16 ft lbs. (these bolts pass through 3/8" threaded holes in the hub, is this correct?)
- verify belts line up and install the AC belt first.
- enjoy

I would install it dry if it isn't keyed or pinned.

Mine came assembled. Double check bolts and they were torqued.

I should have asked if they would assemble it when I ordered over the phone, but never thought about it. Not that it's hard, but it would clear up any questions.

I find it odd that the holes that the bolts go through to connect the AC pulley are threaded, but for a larger diameter bolt. Maybe this is to attach a supercharger pulley to the front?

Well I got the stock pulley off today, hopefully I can get the new one installed tomorrow. I need to pick up some high temp silicone and some high temp RTV per ATI's instructions.

Any more opinions on using anti seize on the crank?

Well I got it all installed tonight. I decided to use loctite on the ARP balancer bolt threads and RTV on both sides of the ARP washer per ATI's instructions (disregarding ARP's instructions of using their lube). Hopefully if I ever add a cam I will be able to get it off!

Drove it around the block and all seemed well. I will be driving it ~40 miles tomorrow to work to verify.

Yes, all seem well. I haven't noticed any vibrations, charging issues, and the AC is still ice cold. I have not had the headlights on at all since the install, but I have no reason to expect any issues.

The only thing to note as far as the install goes is when I put it on with the install tool I put so much torque on the nut that I can not get it off the threaded rod. I did go with one of the $18 installers off ebay though.
