Default True Dual ??

I am looking into getting a true dual set up. The problem I am having is finding a place that does mandrel bending. For those of you in Texas, who did yours?? Everyone in the TX section says Deer Park, but they don't do mandrel bending...

Thanks

Very few shops can actually do mandrel bending. What most places do is buy sections of pipe pre-bent from places such as Summit or Jegs, and then cut them and weld them together to get the shape you desire. Truck supply stores generally have them too for a little bit cheaper.

Thanks, I talked to Lanes today, he's doing a system for someone else with FLP's tomorow, so he'll have a model for me.

Thanks,
Craig

Lanes does exactly what I described. He buys pipes that were already mandrel bent, then pieces them together.

I wish places in Jersey would do that. I've considered doing it myself but I don't know how to weld. Good Luck

Mine wasn't mandrel bent, but it wasn't kinked up either. They did a really good job on mine. I had the mufflers and x-pipe and it cost me $100 to get put on.

if you dont go mandrel bent, you just gotta make sure the exhaust shop you take it to measures, measures, measures a little bit more then does it again jsut for good measure. that way the bends aren't too extreme and cause any kinks.

I had a mandral bent custom 3 inch y pipe made with a cut out in the I pipe through a hooker catback and when i went to the non mandrel bent off road x pipe with bullets and even over the cutout i still felt a gain across the rpms. plus it just sounds better. And i'd imagine that a 3 inch off road x pipe would work even better if you can't have the piping mandral bent.

have you thought about using the Dr Gas X pipe? its a decent amount of money but its mandrel bent and u can dump mufflers right off of it. its definately a quality peice. and will probably end up being cheaper than having a shop custom fab something for you.
