Default Intake Hoses Part Number Needed

I need the part number for the hose I need to connect my SLP lid to my stock size TB. I have gone into all the part stores around here and none have the right size hose/coupler I need. I want this hose to go over the neck of the lid and over the TB. Thanks in advance.

Inatkehoses.com has a 4", 3.5", and 3" ID. Just not sure which one. The 4" ID one seems like it would be too big.

Start with the 3-1/2 and go from there.

That's what I was kind of thinking too. You would think there would be a universal part number or part out there that a vendor sells because a lot of people go SD and no longer need the MAF.

I measured the TB and from edge to edge, it's 4". My air lid opening is just a hair short of 4" from edge to edge. I guess that means the 3.5" diameter one would not fit over the TB and lid neck, so it seems like the 4" diameter one is what I need. I have searched and searched this and some people say they've used the 4" diameter one and others say it's too large and you really have to clamp it down, which is why they used the 3" diameter one. Intakehoses.com has all different sizes, so that's where I"m going to order from. Anyone else know, or even better yet, have some installed pictures of what size they used?

I'm lost. What are you trying to do? The MAF fits in the lid itself... Or am I missing something here?

Tell me what you're doing Nate

No MAF at all. Trying to find a hose to go over the SLP lid neck and go straight to the TB, where I will slip it over the TB. MAF is removed due to SD tune.

92mm TB I take it... You need a 4" ID hose, end of story. Trust me

Home Depot Crap won't work bc it's sized for PVC, so add roughly 3/8" of an inch to it for wall thickness.

Ebay is your friend here. you'd need around an 8" length though, and I couldn't find it. I went 3 ply, as 5 is just too thick. I used 2 4" length, with a 4" piece of polished aluminum in the middle.

Search "102mm silicone coupler hose" and pick your poison.

Siliconeintakes.com or whatever is expensive last I checked.

I have a stock TB, which is 78mm I believe. The TB and the SLP lid neck are roughly the same size; measures 4" from end to end.

This will do what you want, order by the inch. I have some of the four inch (100mm) stuff and it fits my 92mm TB quite nicely.

Thanks Dave and Paul. Will a 4" diameter work on a stock 78mm TB?

Fit my 92 snug. I forgot what the OD of the stock TB is. It should be close though. It's only the BLADE that's 78mm

Thanks Dave. I didn't realize the actual TB housing is the sams size. Since that's the case, sounds like the 4" diameter is what I need. Thank you for the help. I'm going to order it off the link Paul posted. Cheaper than intakehoses.com, and being 2 or 3 ply, it will be easier to bend if I need too bdcause it's not exactly a straight line from lid neck to TB.

This place wants $17.00 to ship something that's going to cost me $20.00. No thanks. I'll keep looking.

I believe the angle you need is 22* for the correct alignment between the two ends (check to verify) . What you could do is get a 22* 4" diameter aluminum tube and use some 4" diameter straight silicone hose on the ends.

Already bought the intakehoses.com 4" diameter 6" long silicone hose. Seen others use that exact part number, so I'm rolling with it.

So, then what are you using to get the two to line up correctly since it's not a straight shoot from the Slp lid outlet to the TB inlet...?

Others have used the same part and somehow forced it to fit. Guess I'm going to try that. You would think there would be a universal part for this.

Curious the shipping charge, I started the purchase process at intakehoses.com. $12 to my area but I saw this curious disclaimer:

If UPS has to correct the address, you may be charged their "Address Correction Fee"

Which I consider pretty funny-UPS does NOT have a "address correction fee"

Well Paul, the link you posted had exactly what I needed and I could order the length I needed (6"). When I went to place the order, it was just as much to ship as it was for the actual piece. Intakehoses.com was much cheaper on the shipping. Shipping charges kill me. Hell, I've shipped heavy *** **** that didn't cost that much.
