Default One of these things is not like the other......

Well since its been raining, humid, cold, or all of the above, the cars been parked for over a week.. Finally decided to take it to walmart for some shopping 2 days ago since the rain finally held off.. I come out kinda of shocked, then get home to search for what had mysteriously disappeared , found out how much they cost, then got pissed.. I dont see how that could have just fallen off, as everything was checked/tightened, when the car was looked at about 8 -9 days ago

They look to me to be almost $200 per tip??? If its the ones ive been looking at, and I think Im just going to try something cheaper for now.. Since Ill be getting a full exhaust next year anyways. any suggestions that look like these, that arent garbage quality?

Just take the other side off and get a cheap turn down for each side since you are going to replace it next year anyway...

Most local custom Exhaust shops (at least around here at non chain muffler shops) have some decent tips that aren't insanely priced if you want to retain that look.

I personally always dug the sound out of tips like that better than turn downs - but of course turn downs or just take that other one off are your cheapest option.

It's not the tips that make the difference in sound; rather, it's where they're pointed. Straight out the back like the Corsa tips will have a different tone than a turn down which causes the note to reverberate off the ground/under the car.

As for replacement tips, you could always just buy Corsa clones from eBay.

I did see a few nice ones posted around here for $125 for a nice looking set.

Here are the ones I was looking at, and was just wondering if anyone has used them , and can at least let me know on quality

FYI, who ever stole you Corsa tips know they're not cheap, and in demand.
So, whatever tip/s you get to replace them I suggest having a few spot weld put around them to prevent this from happening again.

BTW, I'd keep an eye out since someone will most likely be wanting it to be a matching pair!

IMO, buy a length of 3" diameter straight pipe, have 2 pieces cut to a equal length, have one end on each piece angle cut at a 45" angle, or what ever angle you want and the other ends slight expanded to slip over the existing tail pipe, once you have both fabricated tips exactly where you want them have 3-4 spot welds secure them to the existing tail pipes.

I can't see how 1 SIDE fell off after how long? Not welded, I have seen them twisted. Typical Walmart response. They do keep their parking lot cover very well, at every store. Maybe one of those "anonymous" guys can hack their video surveillance and check it out. I mean, it was a car rape.

Seriously though, I have heard of 1 worse. A guy I am on another forum with went into a store, and when he came out, his truck wouldn't start. When it finally did, it wouldn't really idle or run. Someone crawled under his truck, and cut off his rear mount turbo. Talk about grounds to take someone out for a ride. LOL

Never trust those single wide trailer livers. Double wide, maybe. LOL
