Default Buying TSP LT's Do I need the gasket and 02 extensions?

Hey everyone, TSP has a sale on LT's so I'm getting the 1 7/8.
Do I need to buy the gasket and 02 extensions or are they not needed?
I plan on also buying the catted y-pipe and later on a different catback to go with the set. Any help would be appreciated, I'm installing them myself for the first time so I just wanted to make sure I had everything I needed.

Yes get new GM - MSL manifold gaskets, extentions aren't a must if you want to do some re-arranging with some wires. If you want plug and play... Get them.

I suggest getting the gaskets and the extensions. Your stock o2's won't reach and the extensions will fix that.

No and no. Lots of people have been fine with reusing there stock gaskets, and this link will tell you how to do without o2 extensions.

$26 for 2 new gaskets... To each their own I guess.

I have reused my stock 98 gaskets at least 6 times in the last 8 years or so.

I've also heard of at least a couple of people not using any gasket and just using hi-temp RTV, not what I'd do but it's a option.

I still have the original set of '98 GM gaskets and have gone through a few different headers and they still work fine. Now that is not to say that it will work the same for everyone. Yes, you can re-pin your harness to run your rear O2 sensors on the front but for some it is just easier to buy the extensions and for some it may be out of their ability to do so. So If the customer does not feel comfortable re-pinning those wires then I would highly recommend the extensions. We just don't want a customer to be in the middle of a header swap and be stuck because he/she did not buy the parts they needed or took on too big of a task that may be out of their capabilities.

Still running the original stock exhaust gaskets , they outlasted the motor! Pick up a set of Bosch 13111 O2 sensors longer harness.
