Default tool part #

Does anyone know the part # of the tool I would need to install my rear cover? I have a NEW cover with the seal already installed, and was told I need a tool to keep the seal lips from tucking under when I install the cover.
Does any parts stores rent them?
Thanks

I'm assuming you're talking about the rear engine cover with the main seal. Check out SacCityCorvette for their install tool. It's not needed to have the tool to install, but it certainly makes it easier.

We have this cover tool. Its for aligning the cover to make sure the seal is centered. You shouldn't need a special tool to install the seal.

When I watch the videos, the tools look like they are more for centering the cover and then INSTALLING the seal. I have a new cover with the seal already installed.
Someone said that there are two lips. One that faces in, the other faces out, and one wants to tuck under during install. (I don't have mine with me)

So if the seal is installed in the new cover, do I need a tool?
