Default NW 102 too big for a cam only car?

hey guys I'm really sick of my old fast 90 with sticking issues and the iac opening being really small. I'm looking at doing a NW 102 since i have a fast 102. The concern is that will the 102 still allow for sufficient IAC counts? My mods are just stock 799 heads with a 226/234 114 cam so I'm worried about it having really low iac counts and an unstable idle? Anyone run one of these on a cam or mild h/c setup?

As long as it's tuned for it should be fine. It's not going to make much more power than the fast 90 though

not looking for power, the fast 90 has just been a tuning nightmare. the car refuses to start cold unless you open the blade a decent amount. the consequence here is that at hot idle the iac closes fully to compensate and the car runs like crap. my buddy has a 92 tb from fast and its doing the same thing. i would do to a nw 92 if i could but it doesnt fit on the 102.

my only concern was that on the 102 would the balde be too big to allow the ia effectively work at idle since thats the problem i have now just that instead of the blade being too large its the iac being too small

It'll be worth 5HP or so, but it's even worse to tune. The FAST 90 is garbage. But a 102 is harder to tune than a 90/92 in general.

The IAC issue is because your idle airflow, fuel trims, and timing are off. You can adjust the IAC steps to help, but if you leave them stock and get the right voltage .45-.65v on the TPS voltage @ 0% the IAC should live in the 40-50 hot count if the other parameters are right.

The FAST does have a small IAC port opening, which doesn't help.

Take a look at the CBM 95mm TB, it's made by Accufab.
