Default Replacing band clamps with C-clamps to eliminate an exhaust leak?

Hey guys, my band clamps where my headers meet the rest of the exhaust leak, and I've replaced them several times with no luck. Has anyone tried a C-clamp? Or should I go buy the 3 bolt flanges and get them welded instead? My headers are coated so I really dont want to weld on them! Thanks

I chased collector leaks for two years using band clamps. Last year when I had a custom y pipe built I added 3 bolt flanges to the headers. I am much happier.

NAPA sells them. Order the SLP clamps, they're the best.
