Default HP limit of stock truck coils? Alternatives?

I have stock truck coils on my motor (the type with the aluminum heat sink) and am curious about their HP limits and what a good replacement would be.

Those are some of the best coils available, look elsewhere for hp gains.

MSD coils are junk. They have a fairly high failure rate. It's possible that MSD has fixed that but they still aren't worth any power.

agreed

I can't recall having ever seen someone need more spark than the truck coils can provide but I don't follow a lot of severely high boost turbo builds

either way I would stay away from MSD coils...pricey and unreliable and I doubt they are any hotter than the truck coils
