Default SLP Lid Paper filter Part #?

I have an SLP lid like just about everyone else on my Trans Am. I have the reusable K&N style filter. It doesn't fit that well, sags and I had leaves right in front of the MAF. I don't want to deal with cleaning and possibly over oiling it. I want to just get a paper filter and go old school.

I went to Pep boys and got the factory paper filter, then realized when I got home it was way too small for the SLP lid. Which paper filters fit the SLP lid nicely?

Just a stock paper filter is what the slp lid uses.

Does your lid have the weatherstripping around the perimeter inside for the k&n filter? The rubber flange on the k&n is thinner than a stock filter so the weatherstrip builds it up..

Also if you are having sealing issues try a WIX filter from oreillys, its a taller filter and will fit better than the k&n..

Oh, get rid of the smooth bellow if you have it.. Run the stocker

Can you show us a picture of the paper filter in the box?

This was about a week ago, I already returned the paper filter that didn't fit.

The SLP box is supposed to take the stock filter number. I'm thinking they gave you the wrong one or it was numbered/boxed wrong.
