Question 01 T/A vic jr intake and fast 4150 TB fitment.

So the question is, is it a must to cut the fire wall lip to fit the vic jr intake with the fast 4150 tb?

Going with a vfn hood. Really hoping I can get away without cutting Up the firewall.

I don't think you have to cut as much of the cowl. It would depend on what you use for spacers above and below to TB. I have a super Vic with a 1" below and 2" above the tb. Space was needed above the TB for the air cleaner to clear the throttle linkage.

Not gona run any spacers.... so I'm hoping I'll able to clear an air filter without having to cut anything.

You did an awesome job of fabing up the cowling.

Thanks, I used a dremel with a cut off wheel. I would suggest at least a 1" spacer under the TB just to increase plenum volume as much as possible. With the short runners of these intakes I was told to fit the largest spacer possible. I'll be switching to a 2" below once I bolt up the turbo kit and extreme velocity carb hat.

Yea will still be cutting a little of the cowl depending on what type of air cleaner you go with. Best thing is to just get the intake and TB and see what it would take to make it fit. I know I changed the way I cut the cowl a couple times after test fitting the intake. My first cut was just enough around the TB to make it fit. Now I took out the entire drivers side and some underneath the windshield. Gave me better access to the back of the intake and a good spot to relocate the coils. It's all on what you want to do.
