Default Afr mongoose 1660 230 cc heads

My question is I have a set of ls1 heads the Afr mongoose street heads I found a good deal on a 6.2 liter short block would my heads still work on this engine

Absolutely!
They work great on a 6.2 all the way up to a 418" Stroker!
25 CC smaller then LS3 Heads, same intake flow ~330 CFM, much better
Exhaust flow, 4-6* split on exhaust lobe vs 12-16*
Much better low-end, part throttle response and street drivability.
Only down-side vs LS3 is cost but you already have them so
Use them! Get a cam specced for your goals by Tony Mamo,
He designed the Heads.
Pat G made 500+ RWHP on a 6.2 with relatively mild cam in a
Pontiac G8 with an auto if I remember correctly.
