Just contacted LG Motorsports about any take-off LS2 or LS3 throttle bodies. They haven't heard about the Dorman intake. Told me the LS2 was inferior to the LS6 intake and tried to sell me a FAST intake.

Intake got here early which is always a plus. Overall visual inspection I think it looks good. Im no porting expert but the runners definitely seem like they could be smoothed out.

Hardware

91.7 mm

Quality gaskets included.

Can use minor porting.

Flat bottom may clear earlier steam tubes.

Nice pics! Thank you!
Looks like Dorman did their homework on their LS manifolds!

For anyone wondering the egr block off plates for the ls1 intake fit this dorman ls2 intake. I was worried because my map sensor mounts in the rear and I wanted to keep it there. It looks like the rear of the dorman can be drilld out to accept a map sensor.

EDIT: The ls1 egr block off did fit but I couldnt stop it from leaking. I used a 1 3/8 freeze plug from autozone until I can come with a better looking solution.

Im going to be using this intake with 92mm cable TB from Warr performance. What are you guys doing for a throttle cable bracket?

I'll be using the LS1 cable bracket. It bolts right on with the supplied square nuts. I did some light porting on the intake the other night. Mainly to smooth out the ridge. Didn't open the ports because they are already 1" wide. Warr seems to be out of stock at the moment. I might give the Holley sniper 92 TB a try or wait until Warr gets more in stock.

I actually didnt notice the pre drilled holes right away. Probably covers that on the instructions I havent read yet.

I ordered my TB just the other day from Warr. Unfortunately the only ones they had in 92mm were red and blue. Since my car is red I chose accordingly. Oh well Im more worried about performance than looks anyways.

Is this the correct TB cable bracket?

I had one of those Holley 20-147 brackets so I used it, it worked great for me.

The holley bracket should work but it appears the oem ls1/ls6 intake brackets can be swapped over onto the dorman ls2.

Just checking back in to confirm the ls1 cable bracket does indeed fit. There is 2 square nuts that are provided with the intake to use to mount the bracket.

Does anyone know if it will clear the early 4 port steam tubes yet? Mine was dropped off for port work and I wont know until I get it back.

I will flatten my steam tubes and see if that would suffice. I'm in the process of tearing it down and doing a head/cam swap. It may be a few weeks before I will be able to test fit. Are you running a HVAC system on your car? I noticed that there isn't a small port on the back of the intake. May drill and tap a port or T off of the brake booster port.

So how many ports in the back? Picture looks like 2, one has an orange cover (brake booster port?) and a smaller one facing up?
