Default 750 whp exhaust setup

I have a 98 ta I am installing a 6.0, 4l80e, d1sc procharger on and I am looking for ideas on exhaust. I was thinking 1 7/8 tsp headers-catted tsp y-pipe-magnaflow catback. my only concern is that it will rob power not running true duals, but I dont want to spend 2k and I dont really want dumps before the rear. any ideas or thoughts on the setup I came up with?
Thanks

I think most people in your situation run a catback with a cutout dumped before the rear tire. Instead of duals you could also try a 4'' exhaust.

In about a month I will be switching to kooks duals to see how I like them.

Go 4" or larger.
4.25 would do it. Not going to say its more difficult to fit over the rear differential though. UMI makes a kit that gives you more clearance running exhaust over the rear diff. BMR may make one as well.

Y pipe setup will definitely make power. Lots of guys running X pipes that ditch to a Y make even more power, although that isnt surprising considering most X pipe setups are poorly designed and optimized.

Here is mine for an example:

Do the Patrick G Y-Pipe

- Get Flowmaster Y-Merge (3" inlet/4" Outlet)
- Install 4" Cutout
- Reducer back to your nice 3" Magnaflow Cat-Back

What Cold Zero said. The link is the exhaust that he is talking about. In it I listed all the bends and part numbers to make it yourself. I am also running it into a Magnaflow catback. I love this exhaust. One day I will remake it all out of stainless.

There is a sticky that gives you an idea of pipe diameter -vs- horsepower somewhere at the top of this board section.
