Default Help me put my build back on track

Let me start off by telling you about the car...The car is an 01 Z28 only mods are a LS1 Hot cam (I know there are better but it is what i wanted) and a Magnaflow cat back.

Considering it is a totally bone stock car other than the cam it drives surprisingly well, but definitely not perfect. I know I started my mods in the wrong department (should have been headers, cam, then tune) but my question is this.....

Should I purchase some longtubes or purchase an HP tuners set up and tune it? I have a budget to only do one at the moment. Im thinking longtubes first and keep babying it until my budget allows another 500 bucks on a HP Tuners set up, but i would like to have your guys' opinion as well.
