Default Anyone use Corsa?

If you have a Corsa system how do you like it? Is it a durable system that won't melt away with rust if it gets wet once in a while?

Great quality product will last you a long time and the tips are the best on the market mean looking they are. Sound is ok in my opinion it was a little bit louder then my flowmaster i had on before it but i am sure with some headers and few other mods you can get a deeper tone out of it if you want it.

Two thumbs up here. I had the Corsa cat-bak on my Z for almost 2 years. Just sold it a few months ago (good friend wanted it and i was ready for something diffrent the only reasons). I would buy that setup again in a heartbeat. I cleaned it up for him before we installed it and it looked all but brand new. That was ~45k of daily driving including several snow adventures. The sound was very mild below 3500rpm, but by 4500 it was fairly screaming. If you can afford it, do it.

FWIW i have a Borla now and i like it just as well. Tips arent nearly what they were on the Corsa system of course.

Corsa has a bad rep for their mufflers falling apart inside and causing a rattling noise. They will replace for free but you have to provide a receipt and be the original owner. Supposedly they fixed this problem but search on here for the word CORSA and you will find out what I mean. I just bought the Corsa muffler off Ebay not the whole catback but I love the sound! Very deep and aggressive at idle, quiet as hell cruising in 6th at 70mph and simply roars at WOT!

Some have had problems with the muffler but Corsa has sent replacements.

Quality wise..top notch..you won't see rust on this thing. And the tips are the best out there.

IMO corsa is junk.

mine was falling apart after a month.

i know they are loyal with their warrenty, but for the $$$ for that system...they should get it right the first time.

just my opinion, but I would not recommend it

I love the look and sound, one of the best out IMO.

Unfortunatly, my muffler just started the "rattling" thing, I called Corsa, faxed them my purchase invoice from Thunder Racing and they are sending me a new muffler. They pay for shipping both ways, and were totally cool about it.

Another guy in our club had to do the same, seems like a manufacturing issue that is now resolved. I had Borla on my 97 LT1 and I loved that too, I just fell in love with the Corsa Full polish tips!

I really like mine, I got the 4.0 tips. Everything I wanted, the only
other system I was looking at was GMMG but I didn't like either of
the tips, same goes for Magnaflow but I never heard one.

The only thing that concerns me is that nearly everyone with
problems with the mufflers has LT's and Off road Y. The flow
seems to be what blows out the mufflers. They say the fixed it
but it remains to be seen. Having cats may make a difference.
But I want LTs but I don't want to ruin a 700 exhaust to get them.
Now I think maybe I should have gotten Flowtech LTs, ypipe, magnaflow
for about the same price. Don't know but like I said I really like my Corsa.

I'll tell the guy who got me a deal on mine to contact you.
He's a sponser and hooked me up.

Are you talking about the muffler you had a problem with? Otherwise calling the entire system junk is plain ignorant. It is one of the highest quality systems out there and the ONLY one to be granted a Certified GM Performance Part.

And if the 'system' fell apart on you you need to learn how to use simple band clamps

forgive me

let me restate:

honestly bro, we're talking about a "catback exhaust"

"Certified GM Performance Part" thats a laff

sure says alot about GM quality if thats the case.

Maybe i can melt the muffler down and make a nice quality mailbox

And honestly....the system has been on my car with NO problems. Put this system next to any other and look at them....you'll see why the others look like they are made of junk from a 30 year old car.

Just look at the clamps used, and the hangars and how they mount to the car. It takes a HIGH QUALITY system to mount like it does. If you had a bad muffler fine, but don't trash the entire system when you are randy redneck hanging your exhaust by bailing wire.

i dont know exactly what your trying to say...

thats nice you like the pipes and clamps...the muffler is the key part to a catback exhaust.

thats like saying, wow thats a nice car....where's the engine?

"you are randy redneck hanging your exhaust by bailing wire.:"
well first off, im not the one from texas smart guy

lol, ok

you will be happy to know i used the mounting parts that came with the system and.... they are AMAZING!!

edit: i dont understand your post anyway since i made a new post that stated "muffler" just for you ... the system, "or pipes and clamps"...are awesome!!

These are the kind of posts I like to see. It you don't like somthing about it then pointing it out is cool; and saying you didn't like the sound is fine as well. But to call somthing an utter piece of junk would certainly not be giving the system its due.

You're kidding right? A CATBACK is the entire system from the y-pipe to the tips. It is NOT just a muffler. If thats all you wanted you should have bought a muffler and had it welded to the stock piping.

Like I said above I don't think anyone require you to like it but to not give accurate feedback does everyone an injustice.
