I bought an intake that I was told was a LS6, but it has a hole for the EGR. A shop that I went to is saying it's not a LS6 because they noticed this. Were any LS6 intakes made with an EGR hole?

Yes the old Corvette LS6 had the EGR hole. Is the bottom of the intake flat or does it have a bump in it ? Flat bottom is LS6 bump is the LS1.

if you buy an ls6 intake and need a hole you can just cut one to make it work .

Check the part number moulded into it.

SLPs version had one as well. You need to look at casting numbers or the bottom of the intake to be 100% sure though.

wasn't the first Z06 LS6 in 2001? and they already deleted the EGR by then? I have not seen a stock LS6 manifold with EGR previsions.

Correct, but even 97-00 vettes with a regular ls1 intake had no EGR on it either..

The slp ls6 intake is the only one I know of that had a EGR. That way all 98-00 cars could benefit from keeping EGR and still have all the emissions hooked up.

All other factory ls6 intakes, had no EGR!

eBay sells the EGR block offs fairly cheap..
