Default Did coolant flush now engine overheating

I need help!! Just did the full flush including removing the block plugs. I put in a new t-stat and bled the system. As the car warms up the coolant comes back up and the fans turn on. there's also thumping sounds coming from the radiator

Upper hose gets hot, lower hose by t-stat remains cool. I tried squeezing the hoses but still nothing!

Take the new thermostat out and throw it in some boiling water to verify it's opening.

Sounds like you still have air trapped in the system. If you have a set of ramps pull the front of the car up on them and give it another go at bleeding the air out of the coolant system.

I think I fixed it! I lifted the hell out of the front end. Bled the system by the TB, squeezed both upper/lower hoses like crazy. Turned on the car with rad cap off. I could hear air moving. I added coolant as needed, squeezed the hoses again. Once in a while I would pull off the hose by the TB. Reved the engine couple of times. It now shoots hot air and the needle barely made it to 210 mark after being on for 10 minutes. DO you guys think its fixed?

The only thing I am concern is that the lower hose is warm, not hot like upper but just warm, is this ok?

Sounds like your good, but take it out and drive it in stop and go traffic for at least 30 minutes just to be sure. Then let us know how it does.

Btw, I'd check the coolant level every day for at least 2 more days in case you get more air out of the system and need to add coolant.

You have air in the system. You need to let the car cool all the way off. Pull the cross over hose off (the one that goes from head to head under the throttle body). Fill the radiator up till coolant come out of the tube in a steady stream. Put the hose back on and your ready to go.
