Default Rollermaster Double Roller and Melling 10295

I know that there is a million threads out there about clearance issues with the timing cover.

Is there an aftermarket cover out there that has the clearance needed?

Get some marking compound and put it on the timing cover. Put the cover back on and you should see where it rubbed off the compound. Dremel those spots till it clears. I did mine like that and you really don't have to grind that much away.

Did you have any issues with the pickup tube alignment? I do have the luxury of having the oil pan out right now. I have the pickup tube bolt loose which will allow me to move it as need be.

Cool. Today I clearanced the cover and mocked it with no gasket. I also had the oil pump pickup tube loose since my oil pan was already out. That gave me some movement which was helpful when mounting the tube at the oil pump.
