Do MAF ends help on a H/C car?

I replaced the aluminum ends with a nylon set that are 1/4 larger in diameter and have not noticed any positive or negative results. This is one of the mods that likely works best with an intake swap and tuning after to obtain the best results.

They improve pressure drop @ flow, but they
jack your mixture a fair bit. If you tuned for
them, then fine (except it's total cut-and-
try, vs just going to a bigger Delphi MAF with
GM-calibrated tables available).

Not considered a worthwhile mod generally,
and prone to be more of a nuisance than a
help without some tuning work.

Being that its a H/C car, then yes, you may want to consider them, only if you are going to get the car tuned. I ported my own, but got the car dyno tuned right after.

Some year ls1's get some gains with it, some don't. My '99 got a nice kick. Felt more of a kick with that than I did after a lid and then a open Borla back in the day.
