Complete HVAC Removal Instructions
I'd like to remove the heating and air conditioning from my 2000 SS. I never use the heater or the a/c--I figure, if I'm feeling hot, my car's feeling hotter. I also want to remove the dash controls to make room for gauges.
Does anyone have or know of any COMPLETE HVAC removal instructions that I could go by? Just from looking, I'm probably going to need to buy a different belt (or 2) and maybe some block offs where the coolant leaves the block en route to the heater box (and back).
Please help.

really don't need instructions. Just start by removing the dash and go to town. There is a bolt hidden behind the intake that needs to come out. Don't forget that one.
Drop the steering column and remove the dash. It's a PITA job but you can do it in a few hours.
Loop the water pump fittings. Buy a spring that fits inside the hose to keep it from kinking.
Either buy or make a blockoff plate for the firewall.
AC runs off it's own belt. You won't need a different belt.
