Default Considering to quiet up my true duals. Suggestions? *PHOTOS & VIDEOS*

I have a custom 3", stainless, true dual system that sounds great but is a bit loud for my taste. I like a good, throaty sound but I think my car is simply too loud. It's to the point where I feel bad sitting at stop lights in congestion, starting my car in early mornings and late evenings, and I get headaches from lengthy drives. I do have the rear trunk dynamated. What do you guys suggest to replace the bullet's on there now to quiet the car down just a bit?

Before H/C/I:

I believe the tuner has it at 2k here with the H/C/I.

The car after H/C/I; walk-around.

Could look into getting a couple resonators welded in inline. I have true duals on my swap and, while I also have HFCs and dual chambered mufflers, it was still a bit loud for my taste. Had a resonator welded on each side and it helped to quiet it down at cruising and idle, but still had that nice sound at WOT.

What brand do you have? I do require stainless since the entire exhaust is stainless at this point.

Since your entire system is stainless , I vote for mangaflow bullet mufflers in IPipe of the duals.

I think that's what I have on it already. I guess two of them would quiet it down. I'm trying to avoid cat's.

I have dumped duals with MagnaFlow #11219 mufflers on my car. Nice and quiet, with a deep rumble. Very enjoyable to drive no need to talk over the exhaust, or worry about waking up neighbors.

Ohh , hmm I suppose you can swap the bullets for oval style magnaflow mufflers

Or have oval type mufflers under the bumper and bullets in I pipes to act as reasonaters.

Part Number: 12219

Obviously this would add weight to have 4 mufflers in total but with the power of the car Idk if it's an issue for you?

If those mufflers you have on there now have a 4"diameter case, then I'd go with a 5" diameter case. Now if they're already 5" diameter case mufflers the go with a set of oval mufflers, or if you're sure you have room a 6"diameter case .

5" dia. round:

6"dia. round:

As for the oval case , to locate them tucked up in rear quarters 9" case is too wide , you need to be at 7.5" ideally. The XR-1 will probably work but will be a tight fit .

You don't want a resonator, you want a muffler. A pair of mufflers before each tip is what I would do.

I would say move the mufflers you have to earlier in the system, probably offset for space. Then add some large ovals Magnaflows to the rear where you have more room.

Also, my exhaust wants to be like your exhaust when it grows up.

I have 3" catted true duals, run out the back. It isn't too loud at all, but is definitely mean. I live in a semi major city amd it isn't too much growl.

I have moroso spiral flow bullets which are the quietest non mangnaflow bullets i could find. They give a very deep rumble, with the perfect balance of tone, volume and DD ability (mine is a dd).

They make them in stainless, give them a look.
