I deleted my EGR and wondering if I can tap into my header where the EGR delete plate is now. I was thinking to drill a hole in the plate and build up a bung right there. Would my readings be accurate or will there not be enough flow?

imo the sensor needs to be right where the flow is.

I have a C5 with Dynatech LT and while already installed looks to be nowhere to put a bung. I think I will just try to make it work on the EGR plate. Worse case, a few dollars for a new one.

bobfig's statement is not an opinion. The engine can respond fastest when the O2 sensor is close to the exhaust port. The only reason there isn't an O2 sensor after each exhaust valve (for each cylinder) from the factory is because it's too expensive.

(PS don't try that, as your ECM isn't setup to do monitor AF ratio in each cylinder and adjust the value with direct injection)
