Default Lower oil pressure with ls6 block offs

Why is my oil pressure reading lower with the block offs at the rear of the head? Was reading 35lbs at. Hot idle now 20lbs hot idle after swap. Is that normal? Now I want to hook some hoses to the rear again now. Stock engine with 147k.

I don't see how it can change oil pressure, the oil pump will work the same before and after the swap you did.

Maybe you busted the oil pressure sending unit behind the intake when you were working on it, and now it's giving you a false/inaccurate reading

I had no difference in mine after doing the ls6 crossover with block offs. Oil pressure is the exact same.

I did oil pressure switch relocation with braided hose. I would think that would not have an effect on the reading.

Forgot to add, I also did headers. They are stainless steel.would that have an effect on oil pressure?

If you didn't get a tune for them they "might" throw off the idle a hair which would effect oil pressure slightly.

But nothing major like a huge drop
