Default Do you ask yourself, what brand of headers should i buy?

this was a question in my mind for 3 months, money is hard to get from my hand, so i do anything i can to spend it wisely.

a set of TSP 1,7/8 headers fell through for me and so i went to every last post for speed engineering headers to see if i should buy

the shipping dragged on for me so painfully slow because i wanted them so badly. DO NOT ORDER ON A FRIDAY NIGHT YOU WILL BE UPSET WITH YOURSELF.

these headers are absolutely beautiful, quality is smashing.

Just go ahead to http://www.speed-engineering.com/ and buy you a set of 1 and 7/8 headers for your LS1 F-body camaro

make sure you add a set of GM gaskets and bolts from them as well.
dont forget to shop around for some 02 sensors

if i have missed something, chime in!

these will be going onto my car with a custom true duel set up with some flow sounds or something

Default Speed Engineering

I'm looking at maybe ordering a set of the 1 3/4 headers but the stock they have now doesn't have the merge spike. Not sure if it really makes a difference. The jet hots I have on the car now have a little rust but they are going to redo them. Should've went SS to start with.

I have looked at dyno sheets, the 1 7/8 are a little more money, but they gain more even on a stock car,

people say velocity spike does help with scavenging which may help on a beefed motor, maybe not as much on stock

Some how I've never heard of these. I was planning to buy TSP's, I'll have to look into these more before I buy a set.

Don't forget to upgrade your motor mounts while you have it tore apart.

I agree 100% on buying these headers. Best bang for the buck. I just installed mine and they fit perfectly and fit very tight along the body. Definitely do poly motor mounts! I can't imagine the quality gets much better for the price. I had a total of 15 hours into the install including mounts by myself.

It's all 3" coming out so you would do the headers, y-pipe with or without cats, then attach it to your cat back, depending on the size of your cat back a clamp may work or just weld it. Hope that covered what you were asking.
