Default Which muffler for true duals?

Hey everyone. I'm finalizing the exhaust portion of the plans for my car. I'm ditching the Y-pipe setup....don't like it. I'm going true duals, dumped before the axle (1. it's cheaper, 2. it adds a little mystery to my car without visible exhaust), however, I don't know which mufflers to do. I'm going to run Hooker SuperComp long tubes, into Random Technologies hi-flow cats, and a custom x-pipe setup from ls1speed.com I'm trying to decide between Magnaflow Race mufflers and Spintech Sportsmans. How would the two compare to each other? I want a deep, rumbling sound (think big block) that will really show off my cam (when I get it), without being too loud. Which one? Also, would an electric cutout be good with this setup? Thanks.

if it helps,

in general i think straight through muffs sound better on x pipes, and chambered muffs sound better on H-pipes

Mike, you running an X-pipe on that setup?

I have some Spintech Pro-Shootouts waiting for the car to be finished, I know I should go X-pipe, but I'm wondering if still sounds decent with these compared to an H-pipe.

Thanks everyone...I've listened to ls1sounds.com stuff, but they really don't have any good Spintech clips. I love their Magnaflow stuff though.

So, since I'm definitely going X-pipe (haha, reminds me of when I had my Mustang), I think the Magnaflows, which are straight-through, would be a good choice. I just want something DEEP.

Any mufflers will sound good.

Some you may want to consider:
- Borla XR-1's
- Moroso Spiral Flows
- Dynomax Bullets
- Magnaflow 4x9's
- Spin Tech
- Flowmaster 10 Series

I have Moroso spiral flows right now. They sound really good, but they are slightly raspy and my dyno tuning guy said they don't flow vert well, which may be the reason my peak hp was so low. I plan on ordering Magnaflow 4x9's today or tomarrow.

Borla.....Not sure of which ones.....Many people will use XR-1s, but the XS' make a little more power.....
