Default Installed my tsp 2 inch headers.

Well received my headers today. Removed them from the box and look great so went straight to installing them. Sunday I removed my old tsp ceramic coated mild steel 1 7/8 headers and custom y-pipe flowmaster merge and dump which all is for sale cheap.

My car is more street strip and has a MWC K member, hvac delete, cowl is mostly cut out all this aids in the install. Got underneath the car with drivers side header and slip right up with out issues did not remove oil filter or plugs or steering shaft just went in! Tighten bolts and all clears great. Passenger header just like drivers side slid right up and bolted it up! Found one spot where the header hits the K member really is just resting on it and will rattle if not fixed. May try and pry it a bit or will put a very small "dent" in the tube. Bottom line they fit great, look quality. The one tube resting on the k member is a tiny problem to me when you have a header this size and other aftermarket parts and shall rectify that issue.

New and old

Velocity spike

Passenger side in

Driver side in fits perfect

Can see where tube is resting on k member

So you have a aftermarket k member and they still touch?

Yes. Only the one tube on the passenger side. Driver side was perfect. It's more like resting on the k member and would cause a rattle. I will play with that side tonight.

This crazy SOB runs 10's cam only in a M6 car. Zack's car is going to LOVE these bigger headers with the new intake/nitrous setup he's going to be running.

Zack, how much trimming of the stock K-Member would be needed in your opinion? Also, how much you selling your old TSP headers for? I might be interested.

This little 346 gets treated like a race engine max effort it's going to see a ton of nitrous and rpm with no remorse. And over course when it spills it's guts a bigger cube a lot higher compression bullet will be built.

If you come pick them up 200 bucks. Overall they are in good condition and slight rust is starting. As far as stock K member I am sure it would be a pain like any header install with stock k member. If someone is going to try it be prepared to modify and grind I am sure just like TSP stated. These went in about 45 minutes with a tube K member and like I said it's just resting on part of the member. I can pull on the header collector and it doesn't touch it's just right there lol. No complaints from me, if it hit in 3 or 4 spots I would say something. But this is hot rodding and slight "dent" or bend will not affect anything or think less of these headers. Great quality and we ask and Texas speed provided at a good price.

Your a smart man for putting the 2" headers on! even on a 346 c.i. Any one who says otherwise tell them to meet you at the finish line with their time slip.

Very nice man, the nitrous will love it!! If I can get rid of my 1 7/8" headers I'm going to have a 2" set on the way similar to those, and I'm n/a

Not to hijack but I wonder if a na 408 would pick up much with the 1 7/8 to 2" jump.

Depends on the combo really. Probably make more power up top and slightly lower torque. Just a guess no hi jacking it's a good question.

Likely gain hp and TQ, but possibly lose a little TQ at 500 rpm.

On a 408, I think going with the 2" headers is a no-brainer if you can make them fit.

Default Installed my tsp 2 inch headers.

That's funny because I have 1 7/8" Kooks race headers on a 4th gen drag car with over 650 fwhp & talked to a guy from Kooks @ super Summit about going to 2" headers & he told me don't waste my money it won't be any faster.
He also said until you get near 1,000 fwhp you don't need them unless you're just dyno racing, this comes from someone who could have sold me a set of headers that cost over $1,000 & I really appreciate his honesty.
My take is 2" is OK if you don't have headers or 1 3/4 but not worth going from 1 7/8 to 2"
