Default need a catted x-pipe

I have kooks 1 7/8" to 3" headders. I need to get a catted x-pipe to pass emissions.

Are there any catted x-pipes out there, or will I have to have the exhaust built?

I'm sure several of our vendors have this, it's for your headers and vehicle:

I have true duals that dump before the axle. I am trying to avoid having to buy a whole new exhaust.

Or, what are the best 2.5" in 2.5" out universal cats? Might be able to fit one of those on each side of my x-pipe.

I'm looking for experience with a specific catalytic converter, not just a search result for all of the cats that a store sells.

I have use magnaflow a few times on different cars and I currently have a 3 inch one on my trans am. I am not sure of the model .I had to replace a bad one that came with my SLP header kit 5 years ago. I think it is this one http://www.summitracing.com/parts/mpe-54959/overview/I think you would want to put the catalytic converters right after the headers then reduce down to your 2.5 x pipe after the converters.

I am worried that a 3" cat would be too large compared to a 2.5" cat. I am probably going to remove the current exhaust, and see if I have room to insert a cat after the header. I might find an exhaust shop here, and see what it would cost to just have a new exhaust fab'd. I might consider a 2.5" true dual setup all of the way out the back.... the drone inside is pretty loud with the exhaust dumping at the rear axle.

if you need a full out the back exhaust, check out the Hooker Blackheart systems.

I'm going to talk to a custom exhaust shop here this week. Depending on what they say, the Hooker Blackheart might be my choice.

I too am looking for a catted x pipe setup. Wanting to run pipes out the back as a true dual set up... Or lt headers with high flow cats already on them. What did you figure out to do?

I bought 2.5" in/out cats, and had the welded into my current X pipe. I measured the X pipe where a cat would fit, and bought ones that would fit.

I figured that the bends in the exhaust probably shrunk the 2.5" pipe to 2.25", so I wouldn't loose much flow by adding the cats.

I have 3'' catted true duals with an X pipe, under axle.

My setup is as follows:

Speed Engineering 1 3/4 headers, Magnaflow 3'' universal cats, Summit 3'' universal X-pipe, Moroso Spiral Flow bullet mufflers, Corsa clones run out the back.

It was a fully custom exhaust, and the clearance is okay. Not the best, not the worst.

Zero drone. Perfect volume for a muscle car. Not loud enough to offend anyone but old ladies, not quiet enough to sneak around.

Check out my post history for pics

Go with dynomax bullets or SLP LM2 reasonator then. Moroso spiral flows are the quietest bullet I could find.

dynomax bullets are loud as ****. I think you'd like that duals setup
