Default High flow fuel filter??

My car is due for a fuel filter replacement and I was wondering if anyone had seen a high flow fuel filter for the stock location? I searched and couldn't find much.

I was mainly looking because I need to replace my stock one. And I may want to upgrade the rest of the fuel system in the future. Also I figured a high flow filter would be less strain on the pump therefore causing less heat in the fuel.

I opened up the factory acdelco one off my car several years ago just to see if I was getting rust from my fuel tank and surprisingly there wasn't much to it at all. Luckily the screen below the fuel pump pickup is going to get the vast majority of contaminants in the fuel.

I'm going to replace the factory one with a Fram one, because that's all the store had. I don't think it matters much

I'd lean towards this also.

In a few weeks, I'll cut a few open and post results.

Steeda offers Mustang filters.

Just replaced mine yesterday with an OE one. I consider it high flowing as i'm sure the original fuel filter I removed came on the car from the factory.

Thanks!

I have four filters ready to be cut open this weekend. ACDelco, Wix/CarQuest, Fram and K&N. They were all boxd except for the ACDelco, it was bagged. The K&N was boxed the best. The Fram & ACDelco look identical, welded flat end cap. The K&N & Wix have a rolled end cap. They all have a similar inlet nipple except the K&N.

We're all interested as to what's inside. We'll know soon!
