2003 LQ4 Twin Turbo engine swap
Let me first open with: I have no idea if this should be in internal engine or external. We dont use those terms in norway.
So.. Here is my question:
We are building a Nissan 200SX drifting vehicle. We got our hands on a 6L 2003 LQ4 engine. The engine consists of just the block, heads, waterpump and manifolds.
We got no intake, no harness, nothing else, so all of this have to be bought.
As the title says, we're making a twin turbo of it.
So, my base questions is. Does anyone have any experience with engine swaps like this. What do we need to get the eninge running in another engine bay without the stock wiring?
We were thinking of buying this EZ EFI system:
http://m.summitracing.com/parts/fst-30405-kit
It is in my understanding that if we buy this, we dont need the original wiring, because this system has an ECU of its own.
Next we are going to buy MSD Coils, a LS6 Intake and the rest of the list I have so far is:
Electric fuel pump
Alternator
Spark Plugs and wires
Gaskets
Oil pan
Starter engine
Fuel rails
Air / Fuel mixture sensor
Camshaft sensor (or whatever its called, instead of the distributor).
So, do any of you with experience with this got any suggestions, either for how to do it, what parts I mentioned above we should change, what are we missing etc?
Thanks in advance

You could ask in the forced induction section, or the conversions section.
There will be a ariety of ecu/wiring options available depending on what you want.
MSD coils are a waste of money
At the cheaper end of the scale you have microsquirt
http://www.efisource.com/shop/ls1-24...icrosquirt-v3/
Then there is the likes of Holley who'll offer wiring/ecu kits, or MSD Atomic etc.
Pro M EFI claim their package is a simple install and will require no tuning
But those are more for the novice DIY'er, there are literally dozens of other systems you could use.
The sloppy mechanics page will have budget budget DIY info
