Any Issue With These Headers?
Currently have stock cats, an SLP Off Road Y-Pipe, and an SLP Loudmouth Exhaust. Gonna finally purchase some headers to complete the exhaust setup. Was thinking of getting Speed Engineering 1 7/8'' Long Tube Headers. Will these pair alright with the rest of my setup?
How much would it benefit me to get race cats? Gonna get a tune after I install them so I could have them delete any DTC's so I can pass emissions but I don't wanna go the trouble of spending the money & installing them if they're not gonna net me much.

Wouldn't the off road SLP y pipe not have any cats?
I'm assuming you have stock manifolds. If so the speed engineering headers would be a nice upgrade. But I don't know if they would work with your y pipe.

Gotcha...bummer. Alright, I can get the Speed Eng. Y-Pipe as well. Should I get race cats then or am I still good with stock? Will the Speed Y-Pipe mate with my stock cats? Is it worth it to get the race cats or is their little to no benefit?

You may be able to use that Y-pipe if you cut it and install 3">2.5" collector merges. Whether you do that or buy the Speed Y, you'll have to cut the Y to weld in your cats. Stock cats will not work with long tubes.
Cats will eliminate exhaust smell and mellow out rasp at the cost of a few hp. Whether that would make it worth it for you to install them is strictly a subjective decision. If you do go with cats, I recommend Magnaflow metallic core, although others have used Thunderbolt and other brands and have been happy.

So I've decided to just take the cats out completely, run the headers to the Y and then will my SLP Exhaust plug straight into the Speed Eng. Y? Also, if I tune out the cats will I pass emissions if I have the rear o2's & AIR tuned out? I don't have visual inspection, just OBD scan.

You may not like the unburned gas odor without cats. The high flow cats don't lose much power, they will generally pass emissions and they will keep your wife from complaining about the smell.

Gonna get it tuned right after I install it...will it still smell like gas? This is my DD so I don't want my wife to complain all the time or to smell like gas all the time. What would you guys recommend as a high-flow catted y-pipe?
I would rather just purchase a high-flo catted y off the jump rather than cutting the speed Y to fit the cats since I'm not sure I'd be able to do that myself.

Would the Texas Speed Performance Catted 3'' Y-Pipe mate with my SLP LM Exhaust and the Speed Eng 1 7/8'' Headers?
Do I still have to buy O2 Extensions if I'm gonna tune out the rear O2's?
