Question Help..punched out back of timing cover seal..

I drove the deal to far in and punched the back of the aluminum out. If I center the seal to where it needs to go by pushing it forward slightly

can I still use this timing cover? what do you think? Crap....

ya i'd be buying a new cover.... worst case scenario is you put everything back together and the thing leakes like a seive (probably will) then you have to rip the balancer off along with the water pump and lose some antifreeze. then buy a new seal and cover anyway.

summit sells a brand new cover for 30 bucks with a new seal. do it once and do it right. the dealer probably has one thats not even too expensive
