You have got to be kidding with those pictures... My microscopic is out for service right now, so I really can't see whats going on. 2004 Corvette LS1 flywheel bolts are: M11X1.5X23.5 W/SEALER, GM part # 12553332. Pressure plate bolts are GM part # 12561465, and they are M10X1.5X25 10.9.

Txsilverc6, that sure doesn't look like a flywheel to me.

More like a harmonic balancer, like aftermarket.

Is this item on the front of your engine?

Default Its a harmonic balancer

See what happens when frustration sets in.I meant HARMONIC BALANCER. I cant get the three little hole matched with proper sized bolts - no bolts no puller- no camshaft removal- Just when i thought i could see the end -three odd sized bolt holes stop everything. Any ideas?

Its a harmonic balancer not a flywheel - damn car is winning

It looks that a pully registered on the face retained with three bolts. Do you have them?

Have you tried some SAE (non-metric) bolts?

Here's the closest I can get to your part number. No mention of fastener thread sizing though.

Are you positive it's not a standard thread?

5/16 is smaller than 8mm and 24 TPI nearly lines up with 1mm pitch.

5/16-24 is UNC fine.

For the life of me I have never understood why aftermarket companies take an entirely metric engine or car and design in non metric fasteners. Aftermarket has been doing this for as long as I can remember.

Unless someone re-drilled and re-tapped.

Glad you got it figured out.

I think they do that to keep it standard. Balancers have always had SAE fastener sizes. Also, us old guys with our old tools have pullers without them newfangled foreign metric bolts in them.

Don't matter, metric ain't never gonna work here!!!
