It works great. I just took it off for weight reduction and don't plan on putting it back on. I have the whole system if you need other parts too? I just called GM and they said $703.60 for a new one. I laughed and hung up on them. $200 shipped? Paypal? I'll ship it first thing monday if you want. Let me know or shoot me an offer.

704 bucks... heres a spoon gm to eat my ***. Im gonna be getting a better look into it this weekend, i have a late night at work tonight then an early morning saturday...
my car is showing signs of some kind of trouble. when i turn the compressor on for the a/c or the defroster...my car idles kinda rough, nothing too bad like i dont stall out or anything but its enough that i can tell. and i get this grinding/shuffling sound.
when taking off the compressor do i have to drain the system? what all is involved in this?
thanks fellas,
Travis

One way to tell is to go to an AC refill place have them vacuum you ac system and see if it will hold a vacuum. If not look to see where it is leaking. This is a good place to start to diagnose. My compressor went bad from just sitting on the ground and one of the seals was leaking .
