Default ac compressor alignment

Is it possible for coolant pressure to affect the ac pulley alighnment with rest of the serpentine belt system?

Last year I unplugged the compressor, it was clicking on/off every few seconds which is low coolant or a clog. Clicking went away, but I noted the pulley jumping in and out a bit when clicking on/off.

Now I have a busted line, probably zero freon, and the ac pulley appears about 1/8 inch too close to compressor. So, is the pulley alignment sensitive to refridgerant pressure?
