2000 z28 ls6 intake guidance?
So first of all hello!
I' am new to the whole car world and just picked up a 2000 z28 m6. Slowly but surely the plan is to make it a little faster and just learn as much as I can. Car will be used as a DD.
Current mods that came with car.
-Corsa catback exhaust.
-SLP lid.
So my question is about the ls6 intake manifold. What would be the benefits of using this? is there anything that would have to be done when considering this?
Also I am no mechanic I am a army combat medic and my experience with cars is zero. Previous car before my dream z28 was a 4cyl 2005 accord.

I jus did this swap on my 99.. Over the ls1 the top end feels stronger.. But I do have full exhaust cam ported tb n few other thing's to compliment it... You do not HAVE to change anything but some people do put the ls6 steam lines on for clearance.. But I just took a hammer an wood chisel and knocked the ribs off bottom of ls6 too keep the better ls1 steam lines... I have had mine on a couple weeks with no tune an all is good!

I assume the car has not been tuned by anyone...just using the stock factory tune? If so you need to contact a performance shop in your area. You can also get mail order tunes from vendors on here but I'm not a fan of that personally. In general this all can range from $150 to $600

I believe it is all stock yes, is there a thread that you are aware of in terms of getting a ls6 intake manifold and what the different options are on picking the correct one?

Also the 2004-2005 cts-v came with the ls6 intake.
I also would not get a tune for a intake only. I would do long tube headers, y- pipe, ls6 intake tune imo
